1. Who starred in the movie, and what did you think of their performances?
Amy Rapp, Ava Grace, Nicole London, Colin Matthews, Martin London, Paris Phillips.
First of all keep in mind that Candida Royale (not with cheese) directed this sleeper, so if ALL of the stars were mediocre at best it's Candida's fault for not being more demanding.
- and just in case somebody starts pointing fingers at chauvinism the same comment would had been applied to any male director. I don't give a crap who the director of a video is; if the work sucks I'll say it.
2. What did you think of the film’s production values?
Gee, I'm sorry for feminists out there but Candida crapped out BIG time. First of all she decided it would be fine to combine video and film simultaneously (the main plot is shot on film but when the star--Amy Rapp-- watches a video it switches to, well, video.
Second, the plot is so old, and so overdone--even in mainstream film--that you'll just want to barf. It's the same old "brave new world" kind of thing where the government takes over and everybody is supposed to wear uniforms, sex if "dirty" and strictly for procreation, etc. Picture "Demolition Man" only with a pathetic budget.
On top of that the sex scenes are, uhm... female-oriented. That is: they seem to be more related to what a woman would like to see than what a man would. I guess this is why they show lots of penis shots but no vaginal shots.
3. How do you rate the film’s eroticism?
Sorry, but it was boring at best. At least from my male-pig point of view. Heck! One of the scenes with Amy doesn't even have any sex! It's just making out! Picture Melrose Place style sex.
4. What did you like most about this movie?
I guess the fact that the cast is not some bunch of fake, lippo-sucked, overused porn queens. That DOES get boring.
5. What did you enjoy least about this film?
The part that bothered me the most is the fact that the production team spent too much effort in making a story and not enough delivering good sex.
Perhaps one day somebody will explain to us, the public, why the hell some people actually think that porn fans really CARE about the plot. That's what mainstream film is for, you morons!
Granted, some porn films are in fact interesting plot-wise (Taboo would be a fine example), but keep in mind that when a flick is interesting plot-wise it's because the subject matter DEALS with sex. The "sex is forbidden in the brave new world" theme not only is LAME, but it's hard to concieve at all! If anything the OPPOSITE seems to be the truth.
6. What is your overall opinion of the film? How would you rate it on a scale of one to ten?
A 2. Really. What a waste of talent and production material. The 2 is based on how naturally good looking the females are in this flick, but take that out of the equation and the result is a 1.
