Starring: Like the title implies, this is a porn spoof of the Coen Brothers' "Barton Fink," about a screenwriter whose writer's block leads to all sorts of horrors. Here, Jonathan Morgan plays the lead, a successful author but sexual novice hire to write--you guessed it--sex films. Trapped by his sexual inexperience, he finds himself stumbling along the way as he encounters numerous fuck-bunnies who educate Martin.

Though Scotty Fox has some of the plot down, and the sets resemble the Coen Brothers's work, this production is played broad, and you know how painful Morgan can be sailing over the top. What's left is the sex, which, sorry to say, isn't so inspiring.

Part of the problem is the script. It's clear Cash Markman had no idea where to go with this. Watching Morgan being taught the finer points of cunt-licking by his agent Alyssa Jarreau (where did she go?) is more awkward than arousing since Morgan plays Martin as such an annoying dolt.

Randy West appears late in the story as a drunken porn writer also stuck for ideas, but he gets inspiration from sexy Jenna Wells. The problem is that this has little to do with the film being spoofed. It's a good scene, but plopped in to give the story the jolt it badly needs.

It's a mishmash of good ideas and bungled writing.

A Nice try. Maybe the original film was too hard to play off?
